Cosy in-home maternity session | {northern nj maternity photographer}

The temps are dropping. This morning it’s only November 2nd and we had a frost with Wind Chill temps in the High 20’s. My outdoor sessions are winding down and I’m looking forward to getting nice and cosy indoors. If you are expecting a baby in late winter or early spring, you may be thinking that you miss out on having maternity photos done or that a studio maternity session is your only option. That is not true at all. you can absolutely still have a beautiful Lifestyle Maternity session in the comfort of your own home. This is the most comfortable place for you especially if you have pets and kids that don’t want to be outdoors during the cold winter months. This is also a great option if you have a higher risk pregnancy like I did and your doctor does not want you traveling too much. I remember when I was Pregnant with my 2nd son, I was put on a modified bed rest. Even riding in the car was extremely uncomfortable for me!

This session was actually in February of last year so I’ve already met this family’s sweet little boy. I loved how our session really captured that quiet anticipation of meeting your new little one. We even got to incorporate their beautiful dog in the photos and he was such a little dog model.
