Northern NJ Spring Mini sessions 2023

This morning it was snowing and the last thing on my mind is Spring flowers, however I know that it’s going to sneak up on us and it will be here before you know it.

Every year, I say that I”m not going to do the cherry blossom sessions, because every year we have to battle with the weather being too rainy, or the blossoms not being ready and it gets to be a big mess with rescheduling, but then when it comes time to do the sessions, I just adore the way they turn out. There is something so classy and fresh about these, they give me all the spring garden party or tea party feels and it reminds me of my mom dressing my sister and Me up for easter in our matching white frilly dresses with bonnets. (it was the 80’s and every Easter dress came with a bonnet of course)

I’m not planning to do early April Cherry Blossom Mini’s for the reasons I stated above, however, at Taylor Park in Millburn there are late blooming Yaezakura Cherry blossoms which means “multi-layered” cherry blossom trees. these are the big fluffy poofy ones. they are a darker pink and they usually always bloom the last week in April and the first week in May when it is a little warmer.
