WHY YOU SHOULD BOOK A MATERNITY SESSION WITH YOUR NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER {NORTH NJ NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER}

Many people hire a photographer to capture those sweet moments when their baby is just a Newborn but they often overlook the time before baby is born.  I think it’s such an important time to document especially if you have other children for a couple of reasons.

It’s the last time that you will be a family of 3 or 4 or however many and it’s nice to celebrate that and focus on your little ones before they become bigger siblings.  If this is your first baby, it’s really nice to have one last session where it is just the two of you. you probably have not had photos done since your wedding and it’s a really special time to document.

A huge reason to do it is that they will become more comfortable with me or whomever your photographer is. So will you!

I try to make it not so awkward when I come into your home for your newborn session and i’m super laidback and open but having a Maternity session beforehand will make you much more comfortable having me come to your home during those first few weeks of your newborn’s life. This is great especially if you have a shy toddler.  I’ve seen some little ones who are very shy at the start of the maternity session and then when I arrive for the Newborn session they are excited to see me and are showing me around the house.

I know when you are expecting, you are probably not feeling your best in that moment and are not wanting to be photographed, but years from now when you look back on your photos, you will not remember the hard parts, and you will miss having that sweet little one kicking around in your tummy.
