your love is a work of art
My sessions are meant to be a safe space for your children to express their emotions and be who they are.
I don’t like to put pressure on them and will definitely never tell them to smile. Instead I might act silly, or play games to try to get natural reactions.
Every session is different. If your family is silly, we will get lots of photos with laughter, If you are more of an emotional family, we will get more snuggle photos. I feed off of your energy but the focus is always on connection rather than stiff posed photos.
My hope for you is that you go home from your session feeling like you just had a fun time with your family. Rather than focus on the photos (that’s my job) I want you to just enjoy one another and reflect on the amazing love that you have crated together.
I believe that your family is perfect as they are and the way you show love to one another is beautiful and should be the focus of your photos. I will prompt and lightly pose you, but then will gently guide you into more natural interactions.
Desirea was a pleasure to work with and we really like how our family photos turned out. She was very responsive and incredibly helpful in the days/weeks leading up to the actual shoot- she offered to provide advice on outfits, suggest possible locations (we're new to the area) and even sent along some test shots of the chosen location to give us an idea about what to expect. The day-of she was very pleasant, timely and patient (we have a very active 3 year old). She turned the photos around very quickly and we're impressed with the results. Looking forward to the next time we need to use her services. I would highly recommend her to anyone interested in getting photos done, but especially for families.
