What to wear for your spring photo session | Millburn, NJ family photographer

Spring has sprung! because we have had such a mild winter and now are having unseasonably warm weather everything is blooming early. It’s really the perfect time to book a spring photo session. If you are interested in a mini session, I still have some opening. Head here to book your spring mini session.

If you are wondering what to wear for your session, I have several suggestions below and they are just suggestions. your style may not fit with this, or if your kids are like mine, they will only wear one specific pant with a smooth elastic waistband from Old Navy otherwise their whole world will come crashing down and there will be a massive tantrum.

The main thing with dressing for a spring photo session is Color. I think It’s more important to focus on your colors in Spring than any other time of year. The park I have chosen usually has beautiful pink Cherry Blossoms during this time so you will have a lot of that in the background. If you are wearing Orange or a darker yellow it will clash with the background.

My suggestion is to stick with neutrals as much as possible for a spring session and when you add colors, keep them on the cool side of pink, blues, and greens. Yellow can work as long as it’s pastel. Watch out for orange tones in the pinks you choose as you will want to avoid coral colors. Navy and Pastels work great as well as darker Mauve tones if you want to incorporate more color.
